Kudos ISRO !

India's remote sensing satellite CARTOSAT-1 was today succesfully placed in orbit, 18 minutes after the PSLV-C6 carrying it lifted off from here.Thirty seconds later, the PSLV-C6 also placed the HAMSAT in orbit.

ISRO announced that the satellites have been "succesfully" placed into the orbit.

The PSLV-C6, the 295 tonnes and 44.4 metres tall workhorse launch vehicle of ISRO, lifted off at 10.14 a.m. It will place the satellites into a 618 kms Polar Sun Synchronous Orbit (SSO).

President A P J Abdul Kalam, who had dedicated the launch pad to the nation yesterday, watched the launch.

One another info was, ISRO Chairman G Madhavan Nair, went to Tirupathi with the tiny models of the satellite! Though every millisecond has been measured and minute details are taken care of, we want the GOD to keep the time rite?
